Patricia Fern Bradford

Patricia “Pat or Patsy” Fern Ringo Bradford, 77, of Carrollton, passed away July 14, 2021. She was born in Dallas on April 25, 1944. Pat graduated from Hillcrest High School. She was married to Jim Bradford on November 13, 1965.

Pat grew up in Addison, TX, the daughter of Jeff and Janie Ringo. Her early education was spent at the red bricked Addison School, commonly known today as the Magic Time Machine. Her early working years were spent working at the café at Addison Airport. At the airport she met an aspiring pilot, Jim, who would become her future husband. After living in California a few years while Jim served in the military, they moved back to Texas and established a life in Carrollton, eventually having two sons. Her goal was simple in life – to be a good wife and mother. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She loved to cook, eat, tend to her garden and plants, sit on the swing, have her feet and backed rubbed, watch Wheel of Fortune, and always find a bargain, use a coupon, or find a deal in the clearance area. Her ministry to others was to help those in need and love them.

She attended Addison Baptist Church, Orchard Road Baptist Church Lewisville, First Baptist Church Carrollton, and Northside Baptist Church Carrollton. Many of her years were spent working alongside her husband in the Cambodian Mission through First Baptist Church Carrollton. It was here that she may have made one of the greatest impacts in her life – helping Cambodian refugees adapt and learn a new culture. It wasn’t simply about being a missionary and spreading God’s word. It was about being family, about helping them through good times and bad.

She is survived by her husband Jim Bradford, son Doug Bradford and daughter-in-law, Maryann Orozco Bradford, son Jeff Bradford and daughter-in-law, Kylee Lawing Bradford, grandchildren, Cooper Lee Bradford and Brooklyn Renee Bradford, brother Donny Ringo, and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Herman Ringo, Bill Ringo, Roy Ringo, Winnie Mae Derczo, Mary Helen Doyle, and Katherine White.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 24th at Northside Baptist Church, 2000 N Denton Dr, Carrollton, TX 75006. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Northside Baptist Church, specifically to the Missions Group.
