Randy Lee Cox, beloved husband, Dad, Pops, and brother, transitioned from this life to his eternal life at 1:39 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
Surviving Randy are his wife, Jolene; his 2 daughters M'Kay Cox and Kendall Longtin (husband Josh); and his cherished grandson, Cameron, his siblings, Brenda McKinnie, Mark Cox, Vicki Nelson, Vonda Shepherd and his father, Larry Cox. Randy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Melva Toland, mother, Donna Clark and Stepmother Linda Cox.
Randy dedicated 38 years to the Beck Group, where he was a strong and dependable company man, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and friends alike. His commitment to excellence in his work was matched only by his dedication to his family and faith.
A man of deep conviction, Randy’s faith and devotion to Jesus Christ were at the center of his life, shaping his character and guiding his actions every day. His love for others was unwavering, and he made it a priority to live a life that reflected his values.
Those who knew Randy well knew that if the day was right—and most often, it was—you could find him on the golf course. Not only did he love to compete in various company tournaments, and in his annual golf outings with friends, but he also sought every opportunity to pass down his passion for the game to his grandson, Cameron, teaching him not only about golf but about the joy of spending time together.
Randy was loved by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. His legacy of kindness, faith, and love for his family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Randy’s Honor to the following:
Beck Foundation, American Heart Association or Scottish Rite Hospital
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Prestoncrest Church of Christ, 6022 Preston Crest Lane, Dallas, Texas 75230. Randy's service will be livestreamed at https://www.prestoncrest.org.
