Dear Leo,

I am so sorry to hear of your fathers passing, he was a great friend. My first memory of Sean was from kindergarten. My brother, his friend and I were walking home from school and just so happened to walk by your father's house. As soon as we were about 20 yards from the front door, your dad came running out of the front door, dressed as an Indian yelling and screaming at us like crazy. It definitely startled me, and all I could think was how we were never walking past that house again ... haha. As we grew up, your dad and I became good friends. We played on the golf team at Newman Smith HS together and as soon as your dad could drive, he would give me rides to and from practice in his Isuzu Trooper (your dad's first vehicle). Your dad was a positive influence on my life, always encouraging me and wanting me to become successful. When he worked at Golden Bear Golf Center he would let me come up there after golf practice, hit range balls and usually stay after closing time to work on each other’s swings and talk about life. We stayed close after high school, even though I went to college out of town, and we always hung out during holiday breaks. I was not a popular person, but your dad knew everyone and always took me to parties making sure that I was welcome with others even if I did not know anyone.

Your dad was a really good friend to everyone he met and it is very sad to know that he is gone way too soon. I just hope that you know your dad was a good person and enriched everyone’s life that got to know him.

I met Sean working at Pepsi and he was always super friendly, smart, and could always make me laugh.  We also would give each other a heads up when we would see powerful pokemon around.  He was always willing to help as he worked through problems with me on my chemistry homework.

I will miss him and hopefully he is at peace.

I had the good fortune of working with Sean during his time in Pepsi. He was friendly and kind, and also a good laugh. On one visit I had to Arlington I had hoped to get to a Toys'R'Us store to pick up a toy for my young son that i could not get back in Ireland. As it came to the end of the week I had still not been able to get to the store. On the day I was to fly back Sean offered to not only bring me to the airport but also bring me to the nearest store first. He went out of his, gave his time, to help someone he had only met recently. I was able to pick up the gift, and got to the airport all in great time. And it was my first time getting a ride in a Jeep Wrangler! Happy memory - only possible thanks to Sean.

The CTR group from Central Life Sciences would also like to extend their condolences. Sean worked with many groups outside of the Dallas location and touched everyone’s lives. 

I met Sean recently and from the conversations I had with him and the “field trip” at his beloved job—there is much to be said about how memorable and kind Sean was. 

He spoke the world of his son Leo and shared his passion of nature, plants, rocks, tribal artifacts, and other collections. 

I have never met anyone like him and truly miss him.

Sean came to Central Life Science about 3 years ago and immediately made an impact with everyone he met!!  Truly a good guy with a strong love for his son Leo who he referred to as "little man".    

He is gone far to early but has made a lasting impression on many people.

Saying goodbye is hard. I met Sean in high school through a mutual friend. He was super intelligent, extra quirky, and an all around good guy. I remember thinking he was like an adult when the rest of us were still trying to figure out how to do life. 

Even though we met in high school, it wasn’t until five years ago that I gained a real appreciation for his friendship. Thanks to social media we reconnected. He was my go-to guy for all things gardening related. He would help me figure out when to plant and what to plant, and constantly sent me photo reminders of how much better his veggies/fruits were looking when compared to mine. We had a good laugh when I planted cucumbers too close to cantaloupes and they cross pollinated and I spent a whole growing season babying a crop that ended up totally inedible, rookie mistake he said.

He would hook my family up with baseball tickets and other perks when he and his young family were not at a stage of life to enjoy yet. He was always thinking of others. Last time we met for lunch I was able to witness him truly come to life as he shared stories of his son Leo and how he was a carbon copy of himself. Last time we spoke we talked about our oldest, Kylie, finding an opportunity to come and babysit Leo.

Saying goodbye is hard. Especially when the soul we lose is one as good as Sean. My prayers are with his family and those who knew him best. 

Hug those you love. Appreciate the time you have with all of those in your life, even the great ones who fill the outer edges. I am thankful to have met Sean, and more so, to have reconnected some years later. May he Rest In Peace. 


Sean, I still remember meeting you in the early days at Fat Straws. You struck me as intelligent, gentle, and welcoming. Your presence made the room peaceful and engaging. Your stewardship of the business made it feel like you owned it like Terry said. It was an honor to know you.

I met Sean and Casey while serving my LDS mission. They were my favorites! Casey was pregnant at the time and Sean was always so giddy and excited to meet his son. When Leo was born, I remember going to visit the Hunt residence and Sean was so proud to show their newest addition to the family. You could tell he had SO much love for his wife and little Leo. 

I worked with Sean at Pepsico. I worked in IT and my office was in the back of the plant. Whenever Sean had some sort of software issue, he'd always apologize about making me have to walk so far to fix something that I suspect he probably already knew how to fix, he just didn't have the access. Truthfully, I enjoyed coming up there and having conversations with him. We both became fathers around the same time and I could tell that Leo was one of the greatest joys of his life.

I worked with Sean at Cardinal Health, he taught me so much about chemistry that I didn’t know coming into the job! He was a fantastic team lead, and he will be missed.

You'll read this some time from now and by then I hope this will give you some smiles. I knew your Dad working in PepsiCo and through work we found a friendship that went outside that. 
See, I'm a big soccer fan and although being Irish, I call it football. On May 24th 2017, my team, Manchester United, were playing in the UEFA Cup Final. This was a pretty big deal for me and traditionally would be an occasion to have beers with friends. A week of work in Texas meant friends were in short supply and persuading someone to help me find an Irish bar, showing the game was a challenge. Not your Dad, his response was 'who is coming with is!' That day lives long in the memory as we drove to Dallas looking for the Trinity Hall Irish Pub. AC was on in the car but once we got outside and walked around,  it got a bit warm. To the point where we ended up buying some new tshirts and for some reason deciding to change in the car park. As we watched the game and had lunchtime beers, we talked of how he enjoyed soccer, loved Ireland and most importantly loved you and your mum. 
A couple of Irish whiskies and back to our lives we went that evening. This time though with a strong bond formed that I hold dear. As you grow up, remember that your Dad was a good man who thought of others. A friend is someone that when you are in need asks how they can help. A great friend is someone that asks 'who's coming with us'

One summer evening at my aunt Casey’s Moms house Sean’s wife’s Moms house it was me and my brother in the pool at my Grammys house we were swimming and Sean came out the back door the last time I talked to him it was about henna tattoos he said if I got a henna face tattoo he would give me 10 bucks and he was asking us if the three of us wanted to make YouTube channel ever we said yes and I wanted to make content like good mythical morning and he had some peepers in the garden it was a Carolina reaper and said we could have it and we talked for hours I’m gonna miss seeing the adventures he was going on with Leo R.I.P. Uncle Sean I’m gonna miss you

Leo— I played a lot of golf with your dad growing up.  We were on the same high school team, played golf all summer together and we even worked at a driving range together.   Thousands of hours on the golf course goofing off and trying to get better.  And while there was much to admire in his golf game, he was just such an incredible friend.   So often he amazed me at how selfless he was. If you needed anything, he was there— no questions asked.  It was unreal.  The most reliable, loyal, selfless friend you could have.  He always showed great kindness and put others before himself. Values he no doubt passed along to you and will be a great way to pay tribute as you move along making a similar impact on those who cross your path.  

And his sense of humor... so dry and witty, a sign of his incredible intelligence.   When we weren’t at the golf course or at work, we were regulars at a restaurant that had trivia.  Plenty of heated competition where I rarely prevailed. He knew a lot about a lot!

 I hate that I lost touch with Sean as we grew older, I moved away, had a family; but I will always have those great memories of a great man and a great friend.  Much to celebrate and emulate when we think about your dad.  I’m so proud to have called him a friend and will miss him dearly.

Sean was a light. He made people laugh. In fact, his laugh made you laugh. I have so many fond memories of Sean, but what I will miss most of all was all of the amazing deep conversations we had about life. He was always working on being better. Better at work, better at school, a better man to Casey, a better father to Leo, and of course, a better friend. And he succeeded at it. He had such an inquisitive and creative mind. So intelligent but what I loved most about Sean was his heart. He knew how to love people. I first met him while working at Golden Bear Golf Center. Even if he stayed out all night, he was the first one in the parking lot. He was always responsible and had great work ethic. We worked together at Fat Straws and he taught me what real hospitality is. It's about loving on people and always finding ways to make people feel better than when they came in. He had a lasting impact on so many of our customers. I love the picture he took with my son Tyler shortly after he was born in 2005. Sean was so excited for me and I could see the excitement in his own eyes to think that he would be a dad someday too. Leo, your father was one of kind. He had such a huge impact on my life and I am so grateful to have spent time with him. I'll miss you Hunt. I'll miss your laugh. I'll miss your wit. But most of all, I'll miss your heart. Love you buddy.

Sean and I were good mates during our time as undergraduates at UNT.  We met during freshman orientation in the fall of 2000.  We sat next to each other in nearly every biology and chemistry class from 00-04.  We would often study together — mostly just goof off and tell jokes.  I will always remember Sean’s wit and dry humor.  So many laughs with him.  

Strong arms around Casey, Leo and Sean’s entire family.  You all are in my prayers.  Rest In Peace my friend.   God bless 

Leo,

Your father was an amazing man and friend.  He was always there when you needed him, and always put others first.  We used to play golf and gamble with friends.  I was horrible but your Dad was awesome, and he'd say, "I got you", and we'd go have a good time.  He was so smart too.  He was always my "Science question lifeline" before Google got big.  If you ever eat a Jack-in-the-Box taco, we have cheered to those many times, and hope you do too!  I will always cherish my friendship with your father.

I am so sad to hear about Sean.  He was always such a nice guy!  We always really appreciated how he coached the little boys’ soccer team and was so good and patient with them even when they were acting crazy.  He will certainly be fondly remembered and very much missed!

I had the pleasure of working with Sean at Pepsi. We would always take a few minutes and geek out about different things.  Even as grown men we would love just to talk about the random things in life that made  us smile, even if we weren't the target age group. Both of us never cared about things like that, and that's why I treasured those conversations.

Sean and I were classmates back at Davis Elem. as well as basketball teammates in 6th grade where we went undefeated(12-0) on the way to winning the championship!  We enjoyed playing sports, video games, and also attended basketball camp together too.  We stayed pretty close as we got older going into Newman Smith, where I also graduated from in 2000.  I’ll mostly remember Sean for those fun memories when we were younger, but happy that we stayed in touch throughout the years via Facebook.  I’m very saddened to hear of his passing, he will surely be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his family and kids.  My sincere condolences go out to the entire Hunt family.  God Bless all of you.

I am so very sorry to learn of Sean's passing. He was known here at Central Life Sciences for his humor, quick mind, and love for his Little Man.  He has left a big hole with his passing. My condolences to his family and especially to his beloved and adored son.

We at Central Life Sciences are very sad at the passing of Sean...he  will be missed in many ways.  My thoughts are of Sean and his love for his son...he would talk about his son with so much pride.  I can't help but think about this little boy's loss of his dad. Prayers to the family in the days ahead.

I enjoyed working with Sean at PepsiCo.   He was intelligent and perceptive.  He always enjoyed talking about his family and was especially proud of Leo.   My deepest sympathy to his family.
