

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

Ms. Candy Renee Terry-Anderson, age 62, of Dublin, California passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Candy (with a “C” and a “Y”, as she would say) Renee Terry Anderson was born on July 19, 1960 to her loving parents Russell Terry and Ava C. Wallick Terry. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Public School in Greenville, Texas where she excelled.
Candy had a strong work ethic that translated into all works of her life. Her colleagues knew her as a kind soul, always willing to serve others to the best of her ability.
In 1977, Candy and Curtis James Anderson married in Greenville, TX. From this union they welcomed four children; sons, Tyrone, Courtney, and Corey and one daughter, Tenesha. She
Candy and her children moved to Richmond, CA in 1987. Shortly thereafter, she became employed with Montgomery Wards. She also worked for the Contra Costa County Department of Social Services. She retired after 20 years of service.
After retirement, Candy still had a zeal and zest for life. She started a position with Brighter Beginnings and loved interacting with the moms, babies, and her co-workers.
At the time of her passing, Candy was an Employee at one of the Homeward Bound service agencies. She really enjoyed helping others.
Candy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and Friend and she loved her family deeply. She departed this life on July 12, 2023, and was preceded in her death by one granddaughter, Chandler Anderson.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children; Tyrone Anderson of Richmond, CA, Courtney (Terina) Anderson of Dublin, CA, Corey Anderson of Richmond, CA, and Tenesha Anderson of Stockton, CA; one aunt, Sheila J. Lewis of Antioch, CA; eleven grandchildren: Hassan, Teshel, Amare, Courtney, Jr., Naviah, Cameron, Elijah, Carmelo, Marshall, Avell, and Sunnie; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
