Mary Pearl Johnson Tucker, age 81, of Oakland, California passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022. She was born on May 30, 1940, in Keatchie, Louisiana, to the late Commit and Mildred Daughtry. Early in life, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Good Hope Baptist Church. She attended the Gadda Garrison School and was employed most of her life as a nurse.
Mary Pearl was married to Elbert Johnson and later to Joseph Maxie Tucker, Jr. She is the last of 13 brothers and sisters.
Mary Pearl moved to San Francisco many decades ago and lived there many years while raising her children. She later relocated to Sacramento, Fairfield, and Oakland.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband - Joseph Maxie Tucker, Jr.
She was a loving mother to Brenda (James) Bohannon, Herbert (Tonilyn) Johnson, Tina (Hans) Turnier, Veronica Underwood, and Anthony Tucker (fiance' Ignacia Lewis); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much.
Mary Pearl was a fearless, generous, and loving woman who will be greatly missed by the family and those who loved her.
