Natalio “Willie” Ravanzo, of Houston, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Lucena City, Philippines, Willie lived a life marked by humility, brilliance, and deep Catholic faith. Though he often joked about being an average student in his youth, he excelled in college, graduating in Electrical Engineering from Feati University and placed in the Top Ten of the national board exam. He later pursued a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering while working on major power projects in the Philippines.
Willie immigrated to the United States in 1972, beginning his journey in New York City before moving to Houston, Texas where he built a long and respected career as a lead design power engineer in the oil and gas industry until his retirement.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Norma, and their two children: Russell (wife Maria); grandchildren: Natalie, Nicole, Nora of Irving, Texas and Rachel (husband Steven Tang); grandchildren: Ryan, Katie, and Tristan of Austin, Texas. Willie was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, including his sister Ofelia Nebre and their children from Manila, and his brother Atty. Juanito Ravanzo (wife Jane) and their children from Manila, retired from the Philippine Commission on Elections.
Willie was a simple, gentle man who found happiness in tending his backyard, fixing things around the house, and spending quiet moments with family. A devoted Catholic, he and Norma prayed faithfully and held a deep devotion to the Divine Mercy.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility, faith, and love — a life lived simply, but beautifully.
