She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Johnston; she was also preceded by her daughter Carol Ann Henderson and her son Jim Henderson, her sister Lillian Waybright and two brothers Morris and John Crown.
She was born on February 19, 1927, the daughter of the late Maurice and Myrtle Crown and Ruth Crown Mallory.
Ada is survived by her daughter Vicki Aylor and husband Wayne, son Ronald Henderson and wife Debbie, two sisters Bibbie Tyler and husband Stewart and Dot Slaven, 10 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Richmond, VA 23229 and services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with interment following at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
