He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting and boating. He was always there to give a helping hand to others. Adam had a great, dry sense of humor. Adam was a 1993 graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School and ECPI. Visitation will be at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Rd., Henrico, Va. 23229, 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021. I remember Adam had the best memory especially with dates. I remember Adam was hilarious. Whenever he told a story he would stand up and say “well I will tell you something”. Will miss him.

I remember Adam came to my house @ Short Pump and helped me to till and plant my vegetable garden. He always helped anybody who asked him to. I remember Eric and I would be out back working in the yard and we would here the gate open and we would know it was Adam and he would have a Mike’s Hard and we would sit and talk and laugh together for hours.

In memory of my brother, Adam: Adam was one of a kind. He was 14 years old when I was born. I love looking back on pictures of that time—us at the beach, the pool, or at our grandparents' house. He was honorable, cared for me, and protected me and his other sisters. It took a lot to upset him. In all my 32 years of knowing him, I only remember him getting visibly angry a handful of times. Like the time I snuck into his room as a kid and tried to steal quarters from his savings jar. He woke up and promptly pulled me down the hallway away from his room as I cried. Unfortunately, I didn't get the quarters that time. He always displayed tremendous patience with others, a quality I admired. He enjoyed the show Smallville, Clint Eastwood and Denzel Washington movies, Rush Hour, and other action and comedy flicks. I'll miss hearing his contagious bursts of laughter as he watched a funny movie or heard a joke. He was a minimalist who didn't fall for society's traditional consumerist ways. Still, when he had time or money to give, he was very generous. Throughout his life, he tried to put other people first. He always asked how others were doing and didn't want to burden anyone with his own struggles. He was an easygoing man who lived with dignity and always displayed honesty, thoughtfulness, stoicism, consideration, and quiet love for his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by anyone who crossed his path in life. May he rest in peace and live on in our memories for eternity.

❤️ Adam…I had so much fun growing up with you in my life. I feel blessed to call you my stepbrother and to have known you . I have peace in my heart, knowing that you are in a much better place now…a place with no pain, no fear, no worries, no demons…and all the crabbing and fishing you could ever imagine. You’re resting in peace with your Dad. You will be sorely missed by all of us. I love you.
- Forever your stepsister, Lynette
