
age 91, of Richmond, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on November 22, 2011. She was born May 13, 1920 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was the widow of Richard Linwood Walton, to whom she was married to for 62 wonderful years. She is survived by one son, Richard Linwood Walton, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Brenda, of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Laura L. Walton Morrison and son-in-law, Fred, of Rockville, Va.; three loving grandchildren, Courtney Marie Walton, Lindsay Meridith Walton, and Richard Linwood Walton III, of Richmond, Va. She was a loving, devoted mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Walton was a member of Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, and she was a member of The Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener throughout her life and always enjoyed taking time to stop and smell the flowers. Mrs. Walton always treasured her time spent with her grandchildren, family, and her many dear friends. She lived life to the fullest and parted this life on her own terms. The family will receive friends 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park.
