Alicia P. (Betty) Lima, 91, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was preceded in death by husbands, Raymond S. Sims, Boyd M. (Mac) Wilkes; son, Raymond S. Sims Jr. She is survived by her husband, Theodore Lima; brother, C.C. (Skippy) Powers Sr. and sister-in-law, Frances Powers, of Richmond; daughter, Alicia Sims Uridel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; stepdaughters, Claire Wilkes Stinson and husband, L. Ernest Stinson, of Richmond, Penny Newhouse of Wilmington, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Stuart Uridel, Krista U. Pettway, David Stinson, Leslie S. Peterman; five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. At age 18, she began her career as a switchboard operator for C&P Telephone Company, retiring 43 years later from Reynolds Metals Company (Bellwood Complex). Being an avid golfer and bird watcher, she resided the last 18 years in Summerfield, Florida, returning to Richmond three months ago. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad.
