Betsye Vaughn McCarthy

McCarthy, Betsye Vaughn, 80, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph McCarthy, Sr. and a sister, Virginia Cotton. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Moscopulos of Portsmouth, Va., Susan Anthony and her husband Calvin of Bumpass, Va. and Patricia E. McCarthy of Henrico; one son, Thomas J. McCarthy, Jr. and his wife Laura of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers Robert H. Hall of Raleigh, N.C., and William W. Hall and his wife Bonnie of Clayton, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Patricia Tippins, David Moscopulos, Jr. Ashley Guinn, Calvin Anthony, lll, Ian Anthony, Erin McCarthy, Grace McCarthy, and Annie McCarthy; 6 great grandchildren. Betsye was an employee of Puritan Cleaners for 30 years at the Canterbury Shopping Center.

The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Hope Health Center for the professional care, kindness and compassion given to our mother during her illness. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. A graveside service will be held 11a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave. Richmond, Va. 23238.
