Bette Miles Rock

Bette was born October 21, 1948, in Richmond, VA to parents Charlie Miles and Ruth Miles. Bette attended Lee Davis High School in Mechanicsville, VA.

Bette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and spent her life serving others. She spent her career as a legal secretary working for Ralph "Bill" Axselle of Richmond.

She cherished her time with her family, especially in Deltaville where she found joy having everyone under one roof. Bette enjoyed cooking and dancing as well as most anything to do with Elvis Presley.

Bette was predeceased by her mother and father, as well as her husband of 47 years Stuard A. "Al" Rock.

She is survived by her son John S. Rock and his wife Deigie Rock, her beloved grandchildren Mary Kate Dallas (Jarvis), Gambill Dallas (Olivia) and Ellie Rock (Carson). Great grandchildren Remington Cruce and Alden Fryman, her friends within the Acca Shriners, those from Deltaville and her cousins and their respective families. Perhaps most important to her, Rocky, her always present canine companion.

A visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home, Friday, June 06, 2025 10:00 am - 11:00 am, follow by a Funeral service at 11 am .

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to "the Guest House" in care of Pamela Walker and her husband Allen Walker, 12400 Nash Road, Chesterfield, VA 23238 or ACCA Shriners, 1712 Bellview Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227.
