Bruce Wayne Morrell

Bruce Wayne Morrell, 68, of Henrico, VA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3rd, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Chester Morrell. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Kim Morrell, daughter Alexis Reed and husband Justin, sons, Nick Morrell and wife Jess, Chris Hancock and wife Heather, Jason Hancock and partner Rachel, his grandchildren Makayla, Rylee, Taylor, and Chase. He is also survived by his mother Patricia Morrell, sisters Joyce Ceconi and husband Bill, Susan Comfort, many loving nieces and nephews, and numerous loyal friends. Bruce was a proud graduate of Virginia Tech. After graduating, he worked at Graybar for 33 years, with his final role being Richmond District Assistant ADO before his retirement. He was a funny and loving husband, father, son, brother, and pop pop. Bruce was known for his great sense of humor and infectious laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman, history buff, and loved all things Virginia Tech, especially his brothers of Sigma Nu. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Friday, February 10th, at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA., with a visitation one hour prior. Reception will follow. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
