Charles Michael Minix

Charles Michael (Mike) Minix, 67, of Goochland County, Virginia passed away on Monday, July 14th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Sara C. Minix. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Minix; his sons Rusty Minix (Jennifer), Tyler Minix (Katherine), daughter, Chelsea Minix, two grandsons; sisters Rebecca Munse (Charlie), Martha Boles (Steve), and many loved nieces and nephews.

Mike was an exceptional husband, Dad, Daddy, Papa Bear, Grandpa and Uncle who was always dedicated to his family and provided the love and support they needed. He was also always there to help a friend or neighbor in need. He had a career as a Local Supervisor/Lineman with Dominion Resources for over 40 years where he loved his work and built many close relationships with his coworkers. Mike was extremely disciplined when it came to his physical health. He enjoyed running half marathons and working out at the gym regularly. Some of his favorite times were spent at the beach surfing and fishing with family and friends and having Mahi sandwiches and French fries at two of his favorite Corolla restaurants.

Mike was a wonderful person and friend who was dearly loved by many and who will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, Richmond, VA on August 22nd from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on August 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 1706 St. Matthew’s Lane, Richmond, VA 23233. Graveside burial for family members to follow the service.
