He was recruited by a number of colleges, but he chose to go to The University of Virginia. His football skills guaranteed that he would be noticed. He quickly made a
name for himself.
Following graduation from UVA in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, Corey headed out to begin his career as a professional player. He had to return to Richmond where doctors diagnosed Lupus. In the last several months of his life, Corey worked for Christian and Barton Law Firm where he found his workplace home. One of his coworkers said of Corey, “He was a gentleman, courteous, intelligent and philosophical. He was a very good conversationalist and was loved by all.” Coach Al Groh said this about Corey: “Players recognize and acknowledge talent. What players respect and relate to is character attribute and competitive spirit. Corey demonstrated those attributes to the highest level which is why he so loved and respected by his teammates.”
On February 22, Corey entered eternal paradise. Corey is survived by his mother, Trinisa Berry, three siblings: Chaz, Aysha, and Joshua; stepbrothers Melvin Moore, Darius Moore, Travon Berry, and his paternal grandmother Quency Mosley.
