Mrs. Bentley was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Irving Edgecombe, husband William Bentley and beloved children Patrice and Rodney. She is survived by her grandchildren, Adam Ruffin, Bravica Purter, Bre’Anna Purter, Rodney Faison, William Wagner and Avise Wagner Barris, and 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bentley lived a life a service to others as a social worker for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was a dedicated member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday March 6th from 6 pm-7:30 pm at St. Philips Episcopal Church located at 2900 Hanes Ave, Richmond VA 23222. Funeral services will be held on Friday March 7th at 2pm at St. Philips Episcopal Church.
