Daughter of Harold “Hack” Macormac and Dorothy “Dot” Dingman Macormac. Beloved wife of 56 years to the wonderfully attentive Earl “L” Smith who recently left us in his 84th year. Survived by her daughter Shannon Smith-Hirsch, son in law Matthew Hirsch, younger brother Robert “Mac” Macormac, nephew Zachary and 2nd cousins Carol and Susan. Deane was employed in banking for more than three decades, deeply loved all her dogs including several Shelties and fiercely advocated for all living creatures.
She never missed a Richmond Celtic Festival and tuned into both national and local news every night. She was the voice of reason in all related discussions. She is and will be sorely missed.
