Doretta Gloria Jalbert, also known as Teddy, passed away peacefully in her home on November 2, 2024 at the age of 101 years old. She was five days shy of her 102nd birthday. Up until the end of her journey she maintained her kindness, grace, gratitude, and above all the love for her family. She was affectionately known as Nana to all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and even friends, who she so lovingly embraced.

Teddy also enjoyed baking, cooking, and feeding her family, friends, and neighbors. The recipes for the best raisin bread ever, pinwheel cookies, and danish pastry can be found in her recipe book.
Teddy was predeceased by her husband, James Jalbert, daughter, Claire Lewis, grandson, Carter Lewis, brothers Bud, Richard, Bill, and John Daigle and sister Marilyn Knoy.
Teddy is survived by her son, Paul Jalbert (Emily), daughter, Meme Bullard (Ted), daughter, Cathy Patton (Daniel) , daughter, Julie Oley (Anthony), and son-in-law, Steve Lewis, all of Richmond. In addition, she is survived by her 14 adored grandchildren and 25 adored great grandchildren. Also surviving her are her brother, Patrick Daigle, and her sister, Patricia Kuhns, and numerous loving nieces and nephews that referred to her as Ma Tante.
Unconditional love is the legacy Teddy leaves.
The entire Jalbert family extends a heartfelt thank you to Jodie Pulley, Lena Trotter, Catrice Nero, Jenee Johnson, Shannon Jenkins, Nadine Mills, Bonnie Robinson, and Dot Cary for the loving care they provided.
