E. Wayne Perdue, 72, of Richmond, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011. Wayne is survived by Becky Perdue, his wife of 44 years; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cindy Perdue; and grandsons, Brandon and Trevor Perdue. Wayne's lifelong passion was golf, the greatest game. Golf challenged Wayne physically and intellectually, a battle he relished with great enthusiasm. Wayne's wry wit and impressive intellect informed us all. He will be fondly missed.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 30, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. There will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October, 1, 2011. A memorial service will be held in Roanoke at a later date.
