HERRING, Edward Earl, beloved father and husband, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2016, at age 64. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Evelyn Herring; and brothers, Lemuel and Arlis. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judith; sons, Bradley and Clayton; and daughter-in-law, Tory. A graduate of Newport News Apprentice School, he had worked in steel fabrication. For the last 20 years, he worked with his son as a contractor in the Richmond area.
The family will receive friends and loved ones Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Parham Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
