Ed Poole was a beloved teacher and coach who served as a positive role model and mentor to countless students and athletes. Kids from elementary school to college gravitated towards him because of his kind fair nature. No one was a stranger to Ed, and he was a coach for all the right reasons. He shaped lives and played a large role in our community. He will be greatly missed.
Later in retirement, Ed loved nothing more than spending time with his grandson. The two would go fishing together weekly. On the weekends, you could find him at Eppes’ baseball games. Coach Poole seldom missed a game.
