Evelyn H McLaughlin

Evelyn peacefully passed away at the age of 100. She was born on August 1, 1924, to Harry and Eva Kiesewetter in Hoboken, New Jersey. Evelyn was preceded in death by her younger sister, Irene (“Sis”). She met her husband, Robert, in high school and they married in Tacoma, Washington, shortly after the end of World War II. Together, they shared 71 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who provided unwavering love and support to her family. Known for her kindness, warmth, and sense of humor, she will always be remembered as the light that shone brightly for all who knew her.

Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Linda Mashack (Peter) and Barbara Colo (Stephen). She was a proud grandmother to Elizabeth Farber (Paul), Emily Davidson (Neal), Hagan Colo (Erica), Catrina Bonus (Brian), Molly Mashack (Leo), Nikki Blythe (Kevin), John Mashack (Geng), and Paul Mashack, as well as a beloved Nana to her great-grandchildren Sam, Erin, Russell, Sally, Claire, Charles, Adalyn, Lindsey, Jacob, and Diego.

A celebration of life for Evelyn will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home - Parham, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229.
