SLATER, Frances E. Haden, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Louis Arnall (Chris) Haden. She is survived by her husband, James L. Slater; daughters, Carol S. Harris and Judy S. Bolt (Matt); and sons, Charles E. Slater Jr. (Lee), Michael W. Slater (Beth) and Roy D. Slater (Debbie). She is also survived by her grandchildren, David Harris, Scott Harris, Roy Slater Jr., Jason Slater, Steven Hertel Jr., Shaun Slater, Christopher Slater, Jamie Hertel Mathews, Douglas Slater and Daniel Slater; and seven great-grandchildren. Frances was a caring and loving wife and mother and retired from J.C. Penney Company after many years of service.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, where services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at woodyfuneralhomeparham.com.
