

THOMPSON, Gladys Lewis, 89, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2014. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank R. Thompson; her parents, Sandy James and Avalona House Lewis; her brothers, James Hale and Robert Carlson Lewis; her sisters Katherine Elliott, Margaret West, Doris Ange,Thelma Elliott and Eunice Cannon.
She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Thompson, of Richmond, Va., and Frances Thompson, of Ashland, Va., Patricia Baldwin and husband Robert, of Locust Hill, Va.; her son, Frank M. Thompson, of Norfolk, Va.; daughter in law, Carol Thompson, of Virginia Beach, Va.; granddaughters, Tina Hanchey and husband Calvin, of Norfolk, Va., Lisa Baldwin and husband P.J., of Midlothian, Va; grandsons, Frank R. Thompson and wife Nina, of Virginia Beach, Va., James Baldwin, of Richmond, Va.; great grandchildren, Trey, Ty and Trent Hanchey, Liam and Lea Thompson, Brodie and Ashlyn Schlobohm; a sister, Linda Scearce, of Midlothian, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
She retired from Philip Morris and after retirement worked at Third Church in the CBS daycare. She was a member of River of Life Community Church.
The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm, with funeral services beginning at 1pm, on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
