James Everette Bowles, 39, of Goochland, Va., passed away Friday, March 1, 2013. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Mary Browning; his brother, Russell E. Bowles; his stepfather, James P. Herring. He is survived by his mother, Mary Catherine Herring, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a former heavy equipment operator for Browning Construction Co. The family will receive friends Monday, March 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., and where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 5, at 2 p.m. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Goochland Rescue Squad, Company 5, P.O. Box 247, Goochland, Va., 23063.
