John Dudley Hollins

HOLLINS, John Dudley passed from this life into eternity with GOD, prepared for him by Jesus our Lord, on Jan 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia R. & Dudley P. Hollins, brother Alfred Lee Hollins and son, John Darin Hollins. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jimmie Carpenter Hollins, his daughter, Cheryl Hawthorne (Hugh); grandson, Hugh Brock Hawthorne and granddaughter, Kara Elizabeth Hawthorne (fiancé Chad Crawley) and granddog, Charlie. He is also survived by a special aunt, Hazel Parrish, many wonderful cousins and some very special friends and neighbors who he loved so very much. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Luck Stone for 33 years and a Volunteer with Manakin Co.#1 Fire & Rescue for 30 years. He was a Deacon and member of Dover Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday January 7, 2016 at The Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home 1771 N Parham Rd. Richmond VA 23229. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 6 at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at 12:00 PM Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery.
