John Francis (Jack) Sisk, 78, of Richmond, VA passed away peacefully on August 30, after an extended illness. He was born on July 15, 1947, in Pittsburg, PA to the late Francis Joseph (Frank) and Kathryn Palmer (Katie) Sisk. Jack was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lois Eschinger Sisk, daughter, Stephenia Sisk Muterspaugh (Danny) and grandchildren Bryan Ruff, Mason Muterspaugh, Grant Muterspaugh, and Faith Butler. He is also survived by his brother, Ted Sisk, and sister, Maia Sisk Patterson. Jack attended Osbourn High School, in Manassas, VA and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; afterwards working a plethora of business-based and trade jobs, solidifying himself as a "Jack of all trades." Jack had a passion for fishing, gardening, hunting, word puzzles, Jeopardy, and relaxing at the beach with friends. He also carried with him a love and curiosity for the natural world and history. He will be remembered dearly for his hard work-ethic, endless stream of facts, and setting a shining example of how to live as an honorable man.
No services or visitation will be held, and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org). We also ask, in his honor, that you raise a beverage of your choosing to the sky.
"Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear."
