Mrs. Lenora Hicks was a legend in her own time, her values and love of God and Church stood out as she would plunge into the caring of many homeless persons, her missionary work abroad and even a stranger that needed help. She will be missed and even though some might not have noticed it, but she had a smile that said I do love and care.
Her work shall not go unnoticed or forgotten as we will continue to keep the banner of the missionary work alive. We love you and will miss you.

I WILL ALWAYS  CHERISH MY TIME SPENT WITHYOU THRU THE YEARS,WILL MISS MY WEEKENDS WITHYOU. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. MAY GOD BE WITH YOUR FAMILY DURING THIS TIME.


I have lived on the 3100 block of Griffin Ave for 40 years. Mrs Hicks was such a force for teaching us how to care for one’s neighbors, My family and friends still share how much they enjoyed our front yard festival. She always looked out and kept us informed on how our neighbors were doing. 
She was an example of how to conduct yourself as a Christian woman. I later learned of her role in her church to insure that the word is carried to the world. 
I have missed seeing her in the neighborhood taking the time to speak to each neighbors.
