Leola Miller, of Richmond, passed away on October 31, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, John Leslie Kennedy; and her brothers, Clellan and Maurice Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn K. Mandel and her husband, Ted, of Kingwood, Texas; her sons, John M. Kennedy of Annapolis, Md. and James C. Kennedy and his wife, Colleen, of Richmond; and her grandchildren, David Mandel (Becky), Michelle Mandel, Sara Kennedy, Kelly K. Scott (Daniel), James A. Kennedy (Emily) and Katherine Kennedy. She was born in Perryville, Ky. and lived in Louisville, Ky. and Fayetteville, Tenn. before moving to Richmond. She had been an active member of Monument Heights Baptist Church since 1958. Leola also faithfully worked at her polling station in every election for more than 30 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 10, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N.
