Linda Bailey Bruce

Linda Bruce of Richmond Virginia passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was a happy, independent soul and her family and friends will miss her dearly. Linda was an elementary school teacher and an occupational therapist but the role she was proudest of was being a mother to her three children Sarah, Meredith and Alex. Linda loved being a mom and her children never had any doubt of the deep love and adoration she felt for them. Linda loved beauty and fun. She had a deep appreciation of art, music, craft and dance. She often pulled out poems and song lyrics as a way to describe an emotion or give advice. She enveloped the spirit of the holiday fully embracing the decor and childlike excitement that comes with the changing seasons and upcoming holidays. Her joy was unmatched. She is preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Calvert Bruce. She leaves behind her brother Stanley with wife Bonnie. Her sister Patty, her husband Tommy, their children Brian, and Tommy with wife JoAnna, their children Lily and Ethan. Her daughter Meredith with husband Jeff and grandson Luke Irvine as well as her son Alex with his wife Janice and three granddaughters Lucy, Mae, and Ruby. She lived a life worth celebrating. If you are able to attend we will be celebrating at Woody’s Funeral Home on Parham Road on Sunday December 10th at 2 in the afternoon with a reception to follow. There will be a Christmas theme so please dress for the season.
