Madeline B McCarthy

McCARTHY, Madeline Baldwin, 82, of Richmond, passed away March 4, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, William W. and Naomi Yates Baldwin; sisters, Thelma B. Smith and Ruby Baldwin; and brothers, Edgar and Ernest F. Baldwin.

She is survived by one son, David D. McCarthy Jr. and wife, Cynthia; two grandchildren, Hayden Lewis and Lana Yates McCarthy of Chesapeake; one sister and brother-in-law, Coretta B. and Edward B. Evans of Mechanicsville; two nieces, Catherine B. Evans of Richmond and Rebecca E. Chadwick of Powhatan; four nephews, Daniel C. Smith Jr. (Jo) of Palm Coast, Fla., Edward W. “Teddy” Smith (Nina) of Lakeland, Fla., Darin R. (Jaime) Baldwin and Duane S. (Patty) Baldwin of Richmond; two great-nieces, six great-nephews, numerous cousins; and special friend, Robert Fulton. The family would like to express its deep gratitude and appreciation to all those at Westport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center who took care of Madeline.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. The Rev. William W. Catlett officiating. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
