Margaret Jamerson Payne, 92, of Cary, N.C., formerly of Richmond, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 13, 2014. Widow of Murray S. Payne, Jr., she is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Morgan (Michael) of Creedmoor, N.C.; one son, Thomas G. Payne (Katie Smith) of Cary, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jason Morgan (Melanie Joy), and Robin Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Savannah Morgan, Alex and Samantha Joy. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. Her funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Bon Air Baptist, at The Village, 7250 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va., 23229. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
