Mary Athey Trexler

Mary Athey Trexler, passed away August 24, 2014. She was a native of Salisbury, NC. She had resided in the city of Virginia Beach. Born in Salisbury, NC, she was the daughter of Frank I Athey and Bertie Elizabeth Athey. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren Calvin Kesler, who died September 1, 1984; her second husband John H. Texler; two brothers and four sisters. She was a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Salisbury, NC. She was a retired textile worker with Hoechst Celanese Corporation, Salisbury, NC.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Warren Kesler, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; step son, John S. Texler, of Norfolk, Va.; Charles A. Trexler of Corpus Christi, TX; and a daughter; Deborah J. Curles, of Chesapeake, Va; grandchildren, Stephanie Monroe, of Charlotte, NC, Patrick Kesler of Charlotte, NC, Aaron Curles, of Chesapeake, Va., and Cynthia Paynter, of Chesapeake, Va.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 2pm to 6pm, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, Va, 23229. Graveside services will be held at 1pm, on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at National Cemetery, 202 Government Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Salisbury, NC or to Diabetes Foundation.
