Mike is survived by his parents, John and Nancy Alderman of Richmond, VA; older brother John of Charleston, SC; niece Gia of Charleston, SC; younger sister Kat of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Uncle John and Aunt Kathy Stroyls of Americus, GA and his cousin Ryan Stroyls of Americus, GA.
Born in Lexington, VA but raised in Richmond, Mike attended Mills E. Godwin High School, VCU, and the University of Maryland. He was full of knowledge, was an avid reader and a creative writer. He enjoyed Star Wars, comic books, baseball and was a Chicago White Sox fan. He was Catholic by faith. Most importantly, he was devoted to his family. He was a loving son, brother, best friend to his siblings, and best uncle to his niece, Gia. We will hold memories of Mike in our hearts forever; he is one with the Force now.
