Michael Harris Stein

STEIN, Michael. After a long and heroic battle with cancer, Michael Harris Stein passed away on February, 6, 2013. Michael is survived by his mother, Bonnie Stein of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marsha and Bill Lund of Nashville, Tenn., and Kathie and Bill League of Fredericksburg, Va.; a niece, Kristi Garrett; three nephews, Mark Schutt, Will League and Matt League and his wife, Beverly; a great-niece, Jamie Garrett; and two great-nephews, Logan and Tyler League; as well as aunts and uncles and cousins. He is also survived by lifelong friends, Hunter Athey, Burke Huddleston, Eric Johnston and Dee and Dick Athey. His family would like to thank them and many, many more for their love and support during his long journey, including Megan Mathias and Susie Meador. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center, P.O. Box 843042, Richmond, Va. 23284, in appreciation for the wonderful care and treatment of their physicians, nurses and staff. The family will receive friends at the Woody Funeral Home, ,, Parham Chapel, on Saturday, February 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will take place at the chapel 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 10.
