

Nancy was educated by New Kent public schools, Mary Washington College, Medical College of Virginia and Pan American Business School. She was employed by hospitals as Assistant Director of Nursing and by the Medical Society of Virginia. She was a faithful volunteer at Henrico Doctors Hospital during many of her early years in retirement…Nancy was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist church and was devoted to her faith.
Nancy could often be found enjoying her favorite snacks, a bottle of Coca Cola and a Hershey bar while sitting with her many cats. She also enjoyed relaxing and completing crossword puzzles or taking walks around her neighborhood. Nancy was an excellent cook, most happy feeding her family.
She was predeceased by her son, Taylor Renalds, and brother, Gordon Taylor of New Kent.
She is survived by her son, Patrick Renalds, his wife (Joan) and grandson (Joey); by a daughter, Jennifer “Nan” Carneal and granddaughter, Christina Ramsey (husband, Sam); and two great-grandchildren; by a sister, Virginia Taylor “Ginny” Hartung (husband, Homer); and by former husband, Hugh Renalds.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov.12, at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229, with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in a private service in the St. Peter's Church Cemetery in New Kent.
