Norman Dwight Graham

GRAHAM, Norman Dwight, 91, of Richmond, died on September 29, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Christine Kornegay Graham; two sons, Dwight Graham (wife Michelle) and Glenn Graham; one daughter, Dianne Graham; and one granddaughter, Meredith Graham, all of Richmond; one sister, Helen Downey of Springfield, TN; one brother, Irvin Graham (wife Patricia) of Wallace, NC; and one brother-in-law, DeWitt Kornegay of Raleigh, NC. Mr. Graham was a U. S. Navy veteran who served in WWII from 1944 - 1946. He worked for Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Coast Line and CSX Railroads from 1943 - 1981. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church for 45 years and had been involved in various community service organizations, such as Richmond Host Lions Club, Navy League and Meals on Wheels. His remains rest at Woody's Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 - 5 pm. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Ave., on Tuesday at 2 pm. A graveside service will take place at Willowdale Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC on Wednesday at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Richmond.
