Paige was born in Richmond, VA to Paul and Virginia Tucker on December 13th, 1960. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in English and later got her Master’s in Public Administration from VCU. She spent most of her career working for the betterment of her community, whether she was helping coordinate volunteers, teaching at J. R. Tucker, her former high school, or working in state government. Not only did she work on award winning yearbooks for Tucker as a student in the 70s, but she also produced award winning yearbooks as the yearbook coordinator during her teaching career. She extended her love for community service beyond just her career, serving on a number of local boards, such as Hilltop Preschool, Westbriar Civic Association, and Ten Thousand Villages. She had many passions in life such as gardening, animals, environmental conservation, crafts, and reading great mystery novels. She loved her family deeply and was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, parent and grandmother. Her kind heart and caring soul could best be personified as a butterfly visiting a daffodil and she will be forever remembered.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Virginia Tucker. Paige is survived by her husband Doug, his sons Alex and Eric, her sister Paula Dutton (Jerry), her daughter Emily, husband Josh and their daughter Lily, as well as Emily’s father Steve.
A visitation will be at Woody Funeral Home: 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229, on Friday, February 8th from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be preceded by a private burial.
The funeral will be held on Saturday February 9th at 11:30 am at West Richmond Church of the Brethren: 612 Wanymala Road, Henrico, VA 23229. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or West Richmond Church of the Brethren.
