

WARREN, Jr, Ramon Eldridge, 97, died on August 4, 2014. He was a native of Richmond, born in Church Hill on September 23, 1916, the first of six children of Ramon Eldridge and Ruth Pyles Warren. He was a resident of The Hermitage at Cedarfield and a lifelong member of Leigh Street Baptist Church. Mr. Warren was retired from the City of Richmond Department of Finance as a certified public accountant. He was much loved and known for his quick wit, sensitive nature, artistic interests, and good looks. In 2009, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Braudrick Warren. He is survived by his brothers, William Warren and Robert Warren; his children, Ramon Warren III and Linda Duke; five grandchildren, Kelly Norton, Travis Warren, Garrett Warren, Elizabeth Duke, and Kathryn Duke-Aladai; three great-grandchildren, McKenna Norton, Tristan Warren, and Sawyer Warren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his dedicated nurse, Gayle Maurice. Following a private interment at Oakwood Cemetery, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 4pm in the Health Care Great Room at The Hermitage at Cedarfield, conducted by the Rev.
