BELL, Robert L. Sr. "Bob," of Richmond, died May 25, 2011 at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie L. and Arlene C. Bell; sister, Doris Bell; and brother, Kenneth L. Bell. He is survived by his son, Robert "Bobby" L. Bell Jr.; grand-dog, Maggie; sister, Margaret Connelly and her husband, Bill; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless loyal friends.
Bob was born and raised in the area of Howardsville, Va. He moved to Richmond in the early 1950's, attended Benedictine High School and graduated from John Marshall High School. He was a retired CSX locomotive engineer. Bob worked for CSX for over 47 years.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, Va. 23229 and services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with interment following at Westhampton Memorial Park.
