

Robert lived a life rooted in faith, service, and unwavering compassion for others. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Fain, and his sons and their spouses, Jonathan and Meredith Fain, and Nathan Fain and Maria Rößler. He is also survived by his sisters, Sue Brown and Nancy, and husband Dr Andy Ache. By his aunt and uncle Norma Jean Catinna Hockensmith, James Lemur Catinna, and one brother in-law Steven Walter Lambert. Robert leaves behind six nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom he loved deeply.
A man of profound religious conviction, Robert dedicated his life to serving God and helping those in need. He was instrumental in starting a church in the inner city of Richmond, where he ministered to underserved communities and offered support, hope, and spiritual guidance to countless individuals.
Robert was known for his big heart, his humor, and the things he loved most his truck, his politics, and giving spam callers a hard time. His family and friends will forever remember his sharp wit and playful spirit.
A funeral service will take place on December 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at Welborne United Methodist Church, 920 Maybeury Dr, Henrico, VA 23229. A committal service will be held at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, located at 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238, United States. The service is scheduled for December 18, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
