Robert Richard "Rick" Haynes, 76, of Richmond, formerly of Roanoke, passed away May 19, 2011. He is survived by three sons, Rick Haynes and wife, Nancy, Steven Haynes and wife, Connie, Mark Haynes and wife, Angie; eight grandchildren, Jenny, Billy, Dougie, Samantha, Colt, Scott, Will and Arian; siblings, Betty, Judy, Billy Joe, Nelson and Steve; numerous nieces and nephews. Rick was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a Little League coach for Laurel Athletic Association for 25 years, a Freemason and a member of United Christian Church. The family would like to thank "Dr. George," the nurses and entire staff at McGuire Veterans Hospital for the excellent care he received. The family will receive friends Friday, May 20, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 21, from 1 to 1:30 p.m., with a Masonic service beginning at 1:30, followed by a funeral service and reception at United Christian Church, 2101 Fordson Road, Henrico, Va. 23229. The family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
