Romney was an avid fan of Kendo, a Japanese sword-fighting technique. He was a Kendo Sensei and he taught for nearly 14 years. Romney had a distinct laugh and despite the many challenges he faced with his physical health, he remained positive and upbeat. He was also an accomplished artist, working with oil paints and clay sculpture. He was of the Buddhist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Vera Jean Brand, and his two sisters.
Left to Cherish Romney’s memory is his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Brand; his son, Dylan Brand and his wife, Aimee; his granddaughter, Madison Brand; his sisters, Alice Wilkinson, Fran Sarver, Cindy Brand and her husband, Patrick; and his brother, Bryan Brand and his wife, Susan.
