Sondra Shell Gallagher

Sondra Shell Gallagher, 81, of Henrico, VA, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on December 13, 1943, in Brunswick County, VA, Sondra lived a life marked by unwavering faith, deep devotion to family, and a generous heart that touched all who knew her.

For 57 years, she was the beloved wife and steadfast partner of Robin E. Gallagher. Together, they built a life centered on love, service, and a shared commitment to their family and church community. Sondra’s Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in worship and fellowship with her cherished church family.

Sondra was the loving mother of April (Mark) and the proud grandmother of Andrew and William, who brought her immense joy. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she poured her love, wisdom, and gentle strength into every generation.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Catherine Shell, and her sister, Judith Blue. She is survived by her devoted sisters, Joyce S. Webb and Mary S. Tolbert, who remained close to her throughout her life.

Sondra leaves behind a family she cherished above all else, along with countless friends who will remember her kindness, quiet resilience, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. Her legacy of faith, love, and grace will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at Woody Funeral Home – Parham on December 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park at noon.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
