Susan L. Mitchell

MITCHELL, Susan Leiby of Henrico, VA died Saturday, 7 October 2017. Born 28 March 1953 in Portsmouth VA, daughter of James Alan Leiby and Roxana Woodman Leiby. Susan is preceded in death by her mother Roxana W. Leiby and her brother, James A. Leiby, Jr.. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Leland Mallory Mitchell, Jr.; children Jere W. Frenzel and Sara L. Knowles (Jonathan); three grandchildren, Jordan Knowles, Charlie Frenzel, and Ember Frenzel; her father James A.Leiby, a sister, Catherine L. Jones; her brother, Thomas B. Leiby (Donna). Susan attended high school in Jacksonville FL, where she participated in tennis, swim team, and cheerleading, then attended Florida State University. She cherished her two years living in Italy and touring Europe. Her loves included the ocean, beach, and mountains. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 19 October 2pm at Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, 7000 Park Ave., Richmond VA 23226. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund. Arrangements under the direction of Woody Funeral Home-Parham, Richmond, VA.
