Whitaker, Virginia M., 85, of Richmond, died Monday, April 30, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carroll G. Whitaker, Jr.; two sons, Morgan G. Whitaker and Carroll W. Whitaker; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; a sister, Betty Turner and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Whitaker was a charter member of Parham Road Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Interment is private.
