Wayne Arnold Satterwhite, age 79, of Marietta, Georgia, died Thursday, December 26, 2024. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, George Arnold Satterwhite and Virginia Bowles Satterwhite. He is survived by Buck Davis and his sister Doris Mackey and numerous cousins.
Wayne grew up in Richmond and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and the University of Richmond. After graduation, he served for three years in the United States Army as a lieutenant prior to his honorable discharge. Wayne enjoyed a long career as the director of human resources for two major corporations.
Wayne was known as a wonderful and caring man who loved his family, He also loved to travel, which he did extensively throughout his life.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Woody Funeral Home – Parham, 1771 N. Parham Road, Henrico, Va. from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. A memorial service will follow in the Woody Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
