Willie Archer Moorefield

Willie Archer Moorefield III, 60, of Richmond VA, went to be with the Lord on March 7th, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joan Duval and Bernard Moorefield and his daughter, Heather Renee Moorefield.

Remaining to cherish Willie’s memory are his wife, Sharon Spencer Moorefield, and his beloved children Colby, Jordan, and Carter, and their family dog, Remy. He is also survived by his uncle, Wallace Moorefield; sisters, Pam Steele and Lisa Hunt; brother in law, Allan Spencer and his wife, Angela. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and his honorary brother Skeeter Gray and his wife, Ashley.

Willie was born in Richmond, VA on December 21, 1964. He attended Hermitage High School and graduated in 1983. He worked in Sales at Jacobs Corporation, Certified Labs, Richmond Ford and Loveland Distributing.

Willie married Sharon Spencer Moorefield on June 9, at Sunday Park. Willie and Sharon would have been married 24 years this year. Together they had three beautiful children, Colby, Jordan, and Carter. They shared many memories and laughs together as a family.

Willie cherished spending time with his family, fishing at the beach, hunting with his best buddy, Skeeter, and listening to country music. With a great sense of humor, Willie loved making people laugh. He had a generous heart, always eager to help others, and his kindness extended even beyond his lifetime as an organ donor.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 19th at 12:00 pm, also at Woody Funeral Home. A private interment will be determined at a later date at Westhampton Memorial Park.
