Annette Costello

Annette Costello, 66, of Flora, Mississippi passed away at home on October 22, 2013. She was born in Jackson, MS, the oldest of four children, and grew up in Richland, MS. Throughout her life she cherished the strong friendships and family ties that she forged during her childhood with her siblings and large extended family of cousins. After graduating from Florence High School, she made Flora her home. Annette was a beloved member of her community. She was widely known as an exceptional cook and gracious hostess and is fondly remembered for her generous, selfless spirit. She was a longtime and faithful member of Flora United Methodist Church, where her beautiful voice will be missed in the choir and where she also taught Sunday school, led the youth group, and worked on foreign missions. She and her loving husband, Joe Costello, recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Dorothy Bridges, and her grandson Gil Ragland. She is survived by her husband Joe Costello; brothers, Mark Bridges and Bobby Bridges; sister, Sherry Bailey; her stepdaughters, Lori Carr and husband Larry and Kathy Ragland and husband Doug; her daughter Janice McClain and husband Jerry; her sons, Brannon Costello and wife Gina and Matt Costello; and her grandchildren Cole Newton, Jean Maree Ragland, Sarah McClain, Lauren Costello, Nora Costello, and Josie Costello, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Flora United Methodist Church from 9-11am on Friday, October 25, 2013 with services immediately following. Burial will be in Flora Cemetery.
