Heaven received another angel when Beth Daigle Gaston entered into eternal life on January 19, 2023 at the age of 72. Beth was surrounded by her family when she passed away after a 4 year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Beth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend and we were blessed to have her as the head of the family. Beth was born on August 19, 1950, to Carolyn Faust Daigle and Euzelian Joseph Daigle. Beth graduated from Louisiana State University in 1972 with a degree in Business. After graduating she moved to Houston, Texas and pursued a career in Accounting. It was in Houston where she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob), on a blind date. They were married on May 18, 1974 and had 4 children: Melissa, Monica, Lauren, and Michael. They moved to Jackson, Mississippi in 1979 where they have resided since. Beth was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family and friends. The highlights of Beth’s life always involved her children and grandchildren. She loved family holidays and vacations, filled with much laughter and memories.
Beth will be remembered for her spiritual commitment to God, her positive attitude no matter what challenges came her way, and her grace and beauty. Beth’s commitment to faith, family, and community was an example to all and will be remembered by her family and friends long into the future. She was active in numerous church and service organizations including St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary and the Martha and Mary Group, the Board of Catholic Charities, St. Dominic’s Auxiliary, and the Creative Healing Studio. During her cancer journey, Beth received spiritual support from Sr. Dulce and her staff at the Cypress Springs Mercedarian Prayer Center.
Beth was preceded in death by her father and mother, Euzelian and Carolyn Daigle. Beth is survived by her husband Bob; her four children, Melissa Gaston Blanks (David), Monica Gaston Cox (Brandon), Lauren Gaston Keeler (Chris), and Michael Joseph Gaston (Kathryn); and 12 grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis (Josh), Danielle Joseph, Katie Joseph, Molly Cox, Evan Cox, Ryan Cox, Jacob Keeler, Rebecca Keeler, Caleb Keeler, Greer Gaston, Ada Kate Gaston, Margaret Gaston; and her six siblings Susan Harbourt, Phil Daigle, Judy Daigle, Ginger Dunaway, Sonia Castilaw, and Peter Daigle.
